The Benefits of Cassava


Who does not know cassava? The Plants are regarded as highly favored by the people of Indonesia. Not just a tuber that has a distinctive taste, but cassava leaves can be transformed into a very delicious vegetable.
According to Prof Hembing Wijayakusuma, pharmacological effects of cassava as an antioxidant, anticancer, antitumor, and increase appetite. Parts commonly used in the plant is the leaves and tubers. Besides the food, cassava plants have different properties as a medicine. Among other arthritis medication, headache, fever, wounds, intestinal worms, dysentery, night blindness, beriberi, and can increase stamina.
From various analyzes mentioned, in the cassava leaves there are different amino acids that the body needs both to convert carbohydrates into energy, helps restore the skin and bones, improve memory, mood, cerebral and other amino acid metabolism. Therefore, when one day intend to limit the intake of protein, your body needs to be considered not to feel deprived.
Cassava tubers contain calories, protein, fat, carbohydrate, calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamin B and C, and starch. The leaves contain vitamins A, B1 and C, calcium, calories, phosphorus, protein, fat, carbohydrate, and iron. While the bark, contains tannins, peroxidase enzymes, glycosides, and calcium oxalate.

1.      If you have  headache,  pounded cassava leaves then used to compress.
As drug fever, 60 grams of cassava trees, 30 grams of jali which has been soaked until soft boiled with 800 cc of water to the remaining 400 cc. Potions filtered and drunk as much as 200 cc. Do it twice a day.
2.      If you get festering wounds, fresh cassava stems crushed and then placed on the body of the sick. To scratch, then grated cassava placed on the sick and injured due to exposure.
3.      As medicine when your skin get hot objects. Grated and pressed the cassava. The water was silenced for a while until the starch settles, then the starch is applied on the wound.
4.      For Diarrhea. Seven pieces of boiled cassava leaves with water to the remaining 800 cc 400 cc. Then filtered and drunk as much as 200 cc. Do it twice a day.
